September 7, 2010 editing…
The long holiday weekend is over and it seems that the first business day back is turning out to be all business… My novel is done with editing and layout. I have been going over the advance copy they sent me. It is exciting to see my book as part of someone’s catalog… In the next couple of weeks I will be rolling out the marketing campaign for my book. For now, the suits in the back room are scribbling ideas down.
On a side note of absurdity, I went to the International Sheep Dog Competition this past weekend and watched Border Collies herd sheep. They were impressive dogs. It seemed a novel affair coming from my technology infused life to watch dogs being used as tools…

September 5, 2010 sunday morning…
It is Sunday morning and I should be outside in the warm sun. It will not be out for much longer around here apparently… It is one of those days where all my thoughts are racing and I am too slow to write any of them done or deal with them in any sort of practical manner. I feel useless, handicapped and utterly tired right now and it is only 9:30 in the morning… on a Sunday where I don’t have to work. Perhaps that is why. Having finally gotten a moment to sit and think about everything it has just overwhelmed me in a huge rush of a wave, smacking me in the face and washing me all the way up the valley behind me to the mountains on the east, tumbling and scrapping my hands and face all the way, just to be deposited high on the top of some lonely and desolate peak… dripping, cold and confused.
I have been making progress with my work space. I have all of my art supplies unpacked – they just need to be properly put away and organized so I actually have some room to work.
I am working on my second book. The first one is at the publishers, more on that soon…

August 31, 2010 the new blog…
Welcome all who have traveled here from my other domains on the internet. I have finally decided to commit to writing a regular blog here on WordPress. I am doing this for a number of reasons but mainly I am releasing my first novel through a publishing company in both ebook and paperback. I will use this blog to promote my new book, my poetry and all the other projects I get involved with, too numerous they are to list here, right now…
And let’s face it, a blog can be a great source of traffic and is a great means to have interaction with one’s fan base. It is much easier to use a service like WordPress than it is to build and code a blog on one’s own. Maybe it is just that I am getting older and don’t want to deal with programming nonsense anymore or it may be that I simply want to focus on other aspects of my life right now. Either way, I will endeavor to keep this current with what is going on in my life as far as my writing and the upcoming release of my novel…
